Today was World Maths Day and we have been learning about pictograms and bar charts this week. For our practical activity, we worked in groups to choose criteria and create a tally chart for our own bar charts. Groups chose and recorded data such as: favourite dogs, favourite games, favourite tractor, etc. Children cast their vote in other groups’ tallies and then created a 3D bar chart using unifix cubes on their whiteboards, labelling the axis.
